The University of Pierre and Marie Curie (French Université Pierre et Marie Curie , UPMC , also Paris 6 ) is a spin-off from the natural science faculty of Paris (1968). This has achieved a world-class reputation in a very short time.

In 1971 it was renamed the University of Pierre and Marie Curie . The building was located in the Jussieu university complex in the Latin Quarter, the buildings of which are currently being refurbished due to construction materials containing asbestos. Since the move of the Denis Diderot University (Paris 7) to the 13th arrondissement , the UPMC has also used its former buildings.

The UPMC had a number of international partnerships and a large number of the over 30,000 students came from abroad .

It went up from 2018 in the Sorbonne Université .
