Thomas Jordan (athlete)
Thomas Michael Jordan (born March 15, 1949 in Aachen ) is a former German athlete .
Athletic career
In 1970 Thomas Jordan became German champion over the 400 meters in 45.4 s in Berlin . He won the European Championships in Helsinki in 1971 with the German 4 x 400 meter relay in a time of 3: 02.9 min. the gold medal (other relay runners: Horst-Rüdiger Schlöske , Martin Jellinghaus and Hermann Köhler ). In the 400-meter run of these European championships, he finished fifth in 46.0 s.
Jordan belonged to the sports club Bayer 04 Leverkusen . In his playing days he was 1.79 m tall and weighed 68 kg. His personal bests were 20.9 s over 200 meters and 45.4 s over 400 meters.

Thomas Jordan received the silver bay leaf on May 15, 1972 .
