The tour of the Australian national cricket team against Pakistan in the 2002/03 season took place from 3 to 19 October 2002 in Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates . The international cricket tour was part of the 2002/03 international cricket season and included three test matches . Australia won the series 3-0.

prehistory

For both teams it was the first tour after the ICC Champions Trophy 2002 , in which Pakistan was eliminated in the preliminary round and Australia in the semifinals. The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 2002 season in Australia . The tour was originally supposed to take place in Pakistan, but Australia withdrew for security reasons. After negotiations, the tour was held immediately after the Champions Trophy.
