history

The place was first mentioned in 1210 and was part of Kurtrier . The forerunner of today's branch church was first mentioned in a document in 1475. The rule of Kurtrier expired in 1794 with the occupation by the French Revolutionary Army. In 1815 the place was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna . Since 1946 it has been part of the then newly formed state of Rhineland-Palatinate .
