coat of arms
The coat of arms is split by a fallen point. In it three stones in red. In front a golden rose in red, behind in green a silver basket with five golden ears of wheat.
The three stones indicate the patron saint of the parish of Gamlen, St. Stephen , who has been mentioned as patron along with St. Peter since 1680. The rose is reminiscent of the nearby Rosenthal Abbey . A citizen of Münstermaifeld gave the monastery his grain harvest in Gammenheim in 1278. The basket symbolizes the town's early market rights from 1789. The ears of wheat in the basket indicate the agriculture practiced in the village.
