Moutiers ( Breton : Mousterioù ; Gallo : Móstiers is a) French community with 929 inhabitants (1 January 2017) in the department of Ille-et-Vilaine in the region of Brittany . It belongs to the Arrondissement Fougères-Vitré , the canton La Guerche-de-Bretagne and the community association Vitré Communauté . The inhabitants are called Moutierrains .

geography

Moutiers is located about 48 kilometers east-southeast of Rennes in eastern Brittany on the Seiche River . Moutiers is surrounded by the neighboring communities Domalain in the north and west, Saint-Germain-du-Pinel in the north and northeast, Gennes-sur-Seiche in the east and northeast, Availles-sur-Seiche in the east and southeast and La Guerche-de-Bretagne in the south and southwest.
