Préaux is a French municipality with 690 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Ardèche in the Region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Préaux belongs to the Arrondissement of Tournon-sur-Rhône and the Canton of Haut-Vivarais (until 2015: Canton Satillieu ). The inhabitants are called Satillien (ne) s .
geography
Préaux is located on the Furon , the Ay delimits the municipality in the north , and about 16 km south-southwest of Annonay . Préaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Romain-d'Ay in the north, Saint-Jeure-d'Ay in the east, Saint-Victor in the south and south-east, Vaudevant in the south and south-west and Satillieu in the north-west.
