Saessolsheim (German Sässolsheim ) is a French commune with 570 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Bas-Rhin department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Alsace ). On January 1, 2015, the municipality moved from the Arrondissement Strasbourg-Campagne to the Arrondissement Saverne .
An early mention of the village comes from the year 1050. Between 1120 and 1130 the settlement was subordinate to the Marmoutier monastery. The most famous building is the church of St. John the Baptist, which dates back to the 12th century.
