history
The later manor village with several small farms, initially called Oschuppen , was first mentioned in a document in 1554. Between 1874 and 1945 the place was - at first both as a rural community and as an estate district - incorporated into the Ischdaggen district (1938 to 1945: Branden, today in Russian: Lermontowo), which belonged to the Gumbinnen district in the Gumbinnen administrative district of the Prussian province of East Prussia .
On September 30, 1928 the manor district and the rural community merged to form the new rural community Uszupönen. On September 17, the spelling of the name in Uszupönen "Uschupönen" was changed on June 3, 1938, the village in "Big Marsh" was renamed .
In 1945 the village came to the Soviet Union as a result of the Second World War with northern East Prussia . In 1947 it was given the Russian name "Saretschje" and at the same time was assigned to the village Soviet Krasnopoljanski selski Sowet in the Chernyakhovsk district . From 2008 to 2015 Zarechye belonged to the rural municipality of Svobodnenskoje selskoje posselenije and since then to the urban district of Chernyakhovsk.
