Alexander Doering (born December 28, 1974 in Berlin ) is a German voice actor and actor .

Life

He is a son of Rainer Doering and the older brother of Manja Doering . He completed his training from 1999 to 2003 at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin. From October 2002 until the end of the 2006/2007 season he had a permanent engagement with the Berliner Ensemble .

As a voice actor, he spoke the role of Hans in the film The Return of the Fairytale Bride . In Germany he is best known for dubbing Dominic Monaghan in the role of Merry Brandybock in the Lord of the Rings film trilogy. In the science fiction film Avatar - Aufbruch nach Pandora , which was released in German cinemas on December 17, 2009, he played the role of Jake Sully ( Sam Worthington ).
