The third season of the German singing casting show Deutschland sucht den Superstar was broadcast from November 16, 2005 to March 18, 2006. The previous moderators have been replaced by Tooske Ragas and Marco Schreyl . The show magazine was moderated by Nina Moghaddam and David Wilms . The jury was reduced to three people, and most of them were newly appointed; In addition to Dieter Bohlen, Sylvia Kollek and Heinz Henn evaluated the candidates. The final was contested by Mike Leon Grosch and Tobias Regner , who just managed to prevail.

Semifinals
Mike Leon Grosch, Vanessa Jean Dedmon and Tobias Regner fought for the two tickets to the final on March 11, 2006. For the first time this season, each candidate sang three songs. The motto of the semi-final was cozy skirt . Each candidate dedicated the third song to a specific person.
At the end of the evening, Mike Leon Grosch and Tobias Regner were voted into the final by the audience. Vanessa Jean Dedmon didn't have enough calls and was eliminated shortly before the final.

On March 18, Mike Leon Grosch and Tobias Regner fought for the 2006 Superstar title . In the first round, the opponents sang a song of their choice, then a song that they had already sung in a live show and in the third round everyone sang their winning title.
Tobias Regner is the winner of the third season and thus superstar 2006 .
