The 2013/14 season was ECHL's 26th regular season . The season started with 22 teams, but since the San Francisco Bulls announced the dissolution of the franchise during the season, the schedule had to be restructured so that some teams only played 71 games in the regular season instead of 72. The team with the highest points in the regular season Season was the Alaska Aces , which also prevailed in the playoff final series against the Cincinnati Cyclones and won the Kelly Cup for the third time .
