Location of the Gostritz district in Dresden

Gostritz is a district of Dresden in the Plauen district . It is located there in the statistical district of Kleinpestitz / Mockritz .

Village center "Altgostritz"

location

Gostritz is located in the south of Dresden on the outskirts. It is encompassed by Mockritz in the west and Leubnitz-Neuostra in the east. The community of Bannewitz borders to the south .

The Nöthnitzbach flows through Gostritz and flows into the Kaitzbach in Mockritz . The Nöthnitzbach rises in the hilly Dresden Erzgebirge foothills south of the city.

history

Gostritz was first mentioned in 1342 as Gostericz , its name goes back to the locator assignment and means people of the Goster . Originally owned by the von Dohna family , its proximity to Leubnitz made it the corridor of the Altzella monastery .

The administrative proximity to Leubnitz-Neuostra was maintained after secularization until it was incorporated into Dresden in 1921.

Development

Gostritz has been preserved as a village and with Altgostritz it has a historic village center . Due to its location in the valley, it has the shape of a street village . In the 20th century Gostritz also built pure rental and owner-occupied houses.
