The Institut national des sciences appliquées de Lyon ( INSA de Lyon , German National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon ) is a French scientific école Grande , focusing on the La Doua campus in Villeurbanne around Lyon resides. It belongs to the Institut national des sciences appliquées network and is affiliated with the University of Lyon . It was founded in 1957.

The course consists of two cycles:

  • The first cycle provides general basic education in science.
  • The second cycle offers specialized training in 12 different subject areas.

First cycle

The first cycle serves as a preparation course for the specialized second cycle. The curriculum is similar to that of the classes préparatoires : the course focuses on the fundamentals of natural sciences (mathematics, physics, chemistry, mechanics and computer science).
