List of the tributaries of the Wörnitz

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The catchment area of the approximately 132 km long river Wörnitz , which runs consistently in east to southerly directions to the Danube near Donauwörth , covers approximately 1570 km². It has only three major tributaries of over 20 km in length, namely the 21 km long Rotach , which flows into it from the right at its east turn at Wilburgstetten , the 41 km long Sulzach , which flows into the following east run at Wittelshofen from the left, and the 37 km long Eger , which at the end of its southward section through the Nördlinger Ries and before entering the Franconian Jura near Harburg - Heroldingen comes in again from the right.

Wörnitz tributaries of over 10 km in length

List of all tributaries

as far as they were to be collected by name from the Baden-Württemberg geodata viewer, the Bayernatlas (formerly: Bayernviewer) or other sources, see the web links at the end. In the transition area between Baden-Wuerttemberg and Bavaria, the official length information from LUBW-FG10 was taken over, where available, or their polygonal lines were measured there, otherwise the lengths of the water bodies were usually measured manually on the Bavaria Atlas. Sometimes there are also catchment area sizes according to LUBW-GEZG and height information according to online or paper maps. Minor deviations from the data that can be queried today may arise because the online maps and databases have since been expanded or changed.
