This list of Roman Catholic Bishops 'Conferences contains all Bishops' Conferences and Synods of Bishops and their associations within the Roman Catholic Church .

General

Various organized meetings of bishops exist in the Catholic Church:

At the level of one or more churches there is its own law

• the Synod of Bishops ( Synodus Episcoporum ); that concerns
  • the universal Church (cf. cann. 342 ff. CIC )
  • 6 patriarchal churches ( cann. 102 ff. CCEO )
  • 4 major archbishop churches ( can. 152 CCEO )
• the Council of Hierarchs ( Consilium Hierarcharum ); that concerns
  • 5 Metropolitan Churches ( cann. 164 ff. CCEO ).

At the level of one or more nations there is

• 114 national and international bishops' conferences ( Episcoporum conferentia ; focus on the Latin Church ; cann. 447 ff. CIC )
• the Council of the Catholic Patriarchs of the East and 6 national assemblies of hierarchs ( Conventus Hierarcharum ; focus on Eastern Churches ; can. 322 CCEO ).

There are also 12 international associations of bishops 'conferences as well as regional bishops' conferences .
