Rocles is a French commune with 249 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ardèche department .
geography
Rocles is located on a ridge northwest of Largentière . To the west is the valley of the Beaume , to the east is the valley of the Ligne . The highest mountain in the municipality is the 1207 meter high Cham du Cros . Rocles is 42 kilometers northwest of the city of Montélimar . Rocles is twelve kilometers from Largentière and ten kilometers from Valgorge . The community essentially comprises 16 hamlets. In addition to the town center, these include Barbier , Bouteillac , Champussac , La Croix , Le Jal , Leyval , Nouzaret , La Parot , Le Perrier , Rubac , Salavert , Salindre , La Sauvette , Le Thyt and Le Vernet .
