The Segunda División 1957/58 was the 27th season of the second highest Spanish football league . It began on September 15, 1957 and ended on June 1, 1958. Between June 22 and 29, 1958, the relegation games were played. Champions were Real Oviedo and Betis Sevilla .

Before the season

The 36 teams were divided into two groups of 18 teams each. The two group winners were promoted to the Primera División . The last four clubs in each group were relegated directly, while the teams in positions 13 and 14 fought relegation against relegation.

Relegated from the Primera División took Deportivo La Coruna and CD Condal part. From the Tercera División came CD Alcoyano , CD Baskonia , AD Plus Ultra and Recreativo Huelva . Atlético Ceuta took over the league pitch from Atlético Tetuán after its merger.
