Trieux is a French commune with 2,557 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Meurthe-et-Moselle department in the Grand Est region (until 2015 Lorraine ). It belongs to the Arrondissement of Briey and the Canton of Pays de Briey (until 2015: Canton of Audun-le-Roman ).

Trieux is about eight kilometers north-northwest of Briey . Trieux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sancy in the north, Lommerange in the east, Avril in the south and south-east and Tucquegnieux in the west and south-west.
