Urpo Korhonen

Urpo Pentti Korhonen (born February 8, 1923 in Rautalampi , † August 10, 2009 in Lahti ) was a Finnish cross-country skier .

Urpo Korhonen started for the Evon Mestäpojat association . He took part in the Winter Olympics in Oslo in 1952 and won the gold medal in the 4x10 kilometer relay race with Heikki Hasu , Paavo Lonkila and Tapio Mäkelä in front of the host Norwegians and the team from Sweden. It was also the win of the world title.
