history

The division was assembled near Tournai in April 1915 and initially deployed on the Western Front. Pulled from the front in early August 1915, the division was transferred to the Eastern Front . After its deployment on the Romanian front between autumn 1916 and spring 1918, the unit was relocated to the western front. The division stayed here until the end of the war, after which it marched back home. It was demobilized until October 18, 1919 and finally dissolved.
