COVID-19 pandemic in Kuwait
The COVID-19 pandemic occurs in Kuwait since February 2020 as part of the global COVID-19 pandemic , which took place in December 2019 in China originated. The pandemic affects the novel disease COVID-19 . This is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus from the Coronaviridae group and belongs to the group of respiratory diseases . From March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) classified the outbreak of the novel coronavirus as a global pandemic.

As of August 20, 2020, 577,588 tests had been performed, compared to 4,337 in the last 24 hours. Of the 78,767 infected by then, 70,642 were considered cured.
