COVID-19 pandemic in Moldova

The COVID-19 pandemic is occurring in the Republic of Moldova as part of the global COVID-19 pandemic that began in the People's Republic of China in December 2019 . The COVID-19 pandemic affects the novel disease COVID-19 . This is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus from the Coronaviridae group and belongs to the group of respiratory diseases . From March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) classified the outbreak of the novel coronavirus as a global pandemic .

Education during the pandemic

When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in the Republic of Moldova in early 2020, the Moldovan Crunchyroll branches, together with EduTolk, Daikiri Studio, the City Hall of Chișinău , initiated the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova , Soros Foundation-Moldova, Moldova University of Technology, ATIC, and AISE launched the Educație Online project so that Moldovan schoolchildren could also be taught during the pandemic. The first phase of the project was completed within six weeks. The teaching material has been prepared for online access. A total of over 2000 lessons in 15 disciplines are available online. Over 150 teachers took part in the shooting. Over 331,000 students have daily access to the project.
