The COVID-19 pandemic occurs in the Republic of Artsakh (until 2017 "Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh ") since March 2020 as part of the global COVID-19 pandemic , which in December 2019 the People's Republic of China has started. From March 28 to April 20, 2020, a nationwide curfew was imposed as a precaution. Markets, entertainment companies, schools, cosmetic studios, hairdressers were closed until April 7, 2020. Hotels were closed until June 1, 2020. Artsakh also imposed an entry ban for Russian citizens. Hospitals have been instructed to isolate patients with COVID-19 symptoms. Russia sent medical supplies to the region on March 14 and March 17, 2020. The aid offered by Georgia, however, was rejected.
