COVID-19 pandemic in the United Arab Emirates
The COVID-19 pandemic has been occurring in the United Arab Emirates since late January 2020 as part of the global COVID-19 pandemic that began in China in December 2019. The pandemic affects the novel disease COVID-19 . This is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus from the Coronaviridae group and belongs to the group of respiratory diseases . From March 11, 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) classified the outbreak of the novel coronavirus as a global pandemic.

On January 29, 2020, the first four COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the United Arab Emirates. These four cases also appeared in the WHO situation reports for the first time on January 29, 2020.
As of April 5, 2020, the WHO has confirmed 1505 COVID-19 cases and ten deaths in the United Arab Emirates.
