Diepenbroich is a residential area in the town of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .
Location and description
Diepenbroich is located northeast of the center of Leichling on the edge of the Leichling plateau that slopes down to the Lower Wuppertal . Together with the larger neighboring towns of Oberschmitte and Bennert and Ellenbogen, the local area now forms a larger settlement area. North of Diepenbroich is the Siefental nature reserve north of Oberschmitte .
Other neighboring towns are Leysiefen , Haus Nesselrath , Altenhof , Scheidt , Hohlenweg , Dierath , Buntenbach , Weide , Waltenrath , Bergerhof and Bertenrath . Wüst has fallen Büchel house .

Diepenbroich appears for the first time on the Prussian first recording from 1844. The measuring table sheets of the official topographic map 1: 25: 000 show the place labeled until the 1974 edition, after which the entire local area is recorded as Oberschmitte.
