Bergerhof is a village in the town of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district that emerged from a court .

Location and description

Bergerhof is located north of the Leichlinger town center on the Leichlinger plateau on Landesstraße 359. Neighboring towns are Roderhof , Schmerbach , Wachholder , Scheidt , Neuland , Hülstrung , Waltenrath , Weide , Bennert , Diepenbroich , Oberschmitte , Ellenbogen , Buntenbach , Bechlenberg , Pohligshof and Dierath . Wüst has fallen Büchel house .

history

Bergerhof was first mentioned in 1488 as up dem Berge . The place name is derived from the location on the altitude above Leichlingen. The Topographia Ducatus Montani map from 1715 shows the farm under the name Bergerhof . In the 18th century, the place belonged to the parish of Leichlingen in the Bergisches Amt Miselohe . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and the Prussian first survey from 1844 both record the place as a Bergerhof .

In 1815/16 there were 77 people living in the village. In 1832 Bergerhof belonged to the mayor's office of Leichlingen under the name Bergerhoff . The place, categorized as a village according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had twelve residential buildings and twelve agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 85 residents lived in the village, 23 of them Catholic and 62 Protestant.

In the municipality lexicon for the province of Rhineland in 1885 16 houses with 81 inhabitants are given. In 1895 the place had 15 houses with 79 inhabitants, in 1905 17 houses and 101 inhabitants.
