Location of Nüsenhöfen in Leichlingen (Rhineland)

Nüsenhöfen is a village in Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district that emerged from a court .

Location and description

The place is east of Witzhelden on the L294 state road. Since the residential development along the state road has spread over a large area on both sides and has grown together with the neighboring Meie and the Höhendorf Witzhelden, Nüsenhofen can no longer be perceived as an independent residential area .

Other neighboring towns are Altenbach , Bern , Feld , Neuenhof , Bechhausen , Flamerscheid , Brachhausen , Höhscheid , Wersbach and Wersbacher Mühle . The Witzhelden water tower is located near Nüsenhofen.

history

In the 18th century, the place belonged to the parish Witzhelden in the Bergisches Amt Miselohe . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and the Prussian first survey from 1844 record the place as Nösenhoven and Nüssenhoven .

In 1815/16 there were 39 people living in the village. In 1832 Nüsenhöfen belonged to the Witzhelden parish of the Burscheid mayor . The place, which was categorized as a court town according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had eight residential buildings and ten agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 36 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

Due to the municipal code for the Rhine province, the parish of Witzhelden received the status of a municipality in 1845, left the Burscheid mayor and formed its own mayor's office from 1850 onwards . In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province in 1885, twelve houses with 47 inhabitants are given. In 1895 the place had 15 houses with 86 inhabitants, in 1905 14 houses and 63 inhabitants.

From the middle of the 20th century, the vacant lots were filled with the neighboring Witzhelden and Meie. On January 1, 1975, the municipality of Witzhelden was incorporated with Nüsenhöfen in Leichlingen.
