Weide is a residential area in the town of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

Weide is located northeast of the Leichlinger town center on the Leichlinger plateau on Landesstraße 359. Neighboring towns are Roderhof , Schmerbach , Wachholder , Scheidt , Neuland , Hülstrung , Bergerhof , Waltenrath , Bennert , Diepenbroich , Oberschmitte , Ellenbogen , Buntenbach , Bechlenberg , Pohligshof and Dier . Wüst has fallen Büchel house .

history

In the 18th century, the place belonged to the parish of Leichlingen in the Bergisches Amt Miselohe . On the municipality map of Leichlingen from 1830, the place is labeled as Smidt . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and the Prussian first survey from 1844 both record the place as pasture .

In 1815/16 15 people lived in the village. In 1832, Weide belonged to the mayor's office in Leichlingen . The place, which was categorized as a court town according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had three residential buildings and three agricultural buildings at the time. At that time, 19 residents lived in the place, four of them Catholic and 15 Protestant.
