Altenhof is a location in the town of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district that emerged from a court .

Location and description

Altenhof west of the former route of the state road L288 on the western edge of Leichlingen on the city limits of Langenfeld (Rhineland) at the end of today's Brucher Weg road .

Federal Motorway 3 runs west of Altenhof . To the north is the Riedbachaue nature reserve , in which the Galkhauser Bach rises. To the northeast of Altenhof is the Förstchen residential area on the state road and the Sandberg residential area to the southeast .

Other neighboring places, mostly those in the western suburbs of Leichlingen, are Kellerhansberg , Rothenberg , Roßlenbruch , Brückerfeld , Bremsen , Zwei Eichen , Trompete , Schraffenberg and Schnugsheide on Leichlinger and Furth , Hapelrath and Dückenburg and Virneburg on Langenfeld's urban area.

Altenhof was west of Sandstrasse , an old road from Aufderhöhe to Opladen . The Prussian first photo from 1844 shows the place unlabeled, as does the Leichlinger municipality map from 1830.

In 1815/16 there were 26 people living in the village. In 1832 Altenhof belonged to the mayor's office of Leichlingen under the name Altenhof at the Förstchen . Which according to the statistics and topography of the district of Dusseldorf as Ackergut categorized place had at this time two houses and two farm buildings. At that time, 17 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province in 1885, two houses with twelve inhabitants are given. In 1895 the place had two houses with eight residents, in 1905 one house and four residents.
