Scheuerhof is a court in the town of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

Scheuerhof is located east of the center of Leichlingen on a ridge between the Wersbach and the Weltersbach, south of the state road 294 near the city limits of Burscheid .

Neighboring towns are Weltersbach , Heeg , Eichen , Metzholz , Krabbenhäuschen , Schneppenpohl , Koltershäuschen , Unterbüscherhof , Schüddig , Holzerhof , Friedrichshöhe , Bremersheide and Diepental on Leichlinger and Unterwietsche , Grünscheid and Grünscheider Mühle in the Burscheider urban area. The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows a Freihof under the name Schurhof . In the 18th century, the place belonged to the parish of Leichlingen in the Bergisches Amt Miselohe . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and the Prussian first survey from 1844 record the place as Scheurhof and Scheuerhof .

In 1815/16 there were 21 residents in the village. In 1832 Scheuerhof belonged to the mayor's office in Leichlingen . Which according to the statistics and topography of the district of Dusseldorf as Ackergut categorized place had at this time two houses and three agricultural buildings. At that time, 15 residents lived in the village, all of whom were Protestant.
