Location of Trompete in Leichlingen (Rhineland)

Trompete is a location in the town of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district that emerged from a court .

Location and description

Trompete is located at the intersection of state road 294 with the former route of state road L288, which is called Trompete in this section up to the intersection , on the western edge of Leichlingen on the city limits of Langenfeld (Rhineland) . The name Trompete of the village, which was still independent in the first half of the 20th century, can only be found in the street name; the place of origin has been incorporated into the closed residential and commercial buildings.

West of Trompete, the state road 294 leads to the federal highway 3 . To the northwest is the Riedbachaue nature reserve , in which the Galkhauser Bach rises. To the north of Trompete lies the Sandberg residential area on the former state road , and the Rothenberg residential area to the south . The Schnugsheide residential area borders the village to the east .

Other neighboring places, mostly those in the western suburbs of Leichlingen, are Bremsen , Zwei Eichen , Roßlenbruch , Rehborn and Schraffenberg on Leichlinger and Hapelrath , Furth , Virneburg and Krecklenberg on Langerfeld's urban area.

history

In 1855 four apartments are given in trumpet. The place was already in the 19th century at the intersection of a more recent route (from the 19th century) of the Sandstraße , an old road from Aufderhöhe to Opladen , with the Communications Weg between Reusrath and Leichlingen (today Trompeter Straße - Reusrather Straße - Opladener Straße - Brückenstrasse ). The topographical recording of the Rhineland from 1824 shows the place as a trumpet and the Prussian first recording from 1844 shows the place unlabeled, the Leichlinger municipality map from 1830 as a trumpet .

In 1815/16 the place had 41 inhabitants. In 1832 Trumpet belonged to the mayor's office in Leichlingen . The place, which was categorized as a court town according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had four residential buildings and six agricultural buildings at the time. At that time, 21 residents lived in the place, three of them Catholic and 18 Protestant.

In the municipality lexicon for the province of Rhineland in 1885 twelve houses with 82 inhabitants are given. In 1895 the place had 26 houses with 169 inhabitants, in 1905 32 houses and 227 inhabitants.

From the middle of the 20th century, the gaps in the residential and commercial development with the neighboring residential areas were closed and Trompete became part of the western suburb of Leichlingen.
