Breuhaus was a locality in the city of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis . Today, the location is no longer perceptible as an independent residential area , but part of the historic Leichlingen city center.

Breuhaus was opposite the Protestant town church in Leichlingen city center, east of the Wupper in the area of ​​today's Gartenstrasse . The settlement core of the residential area has merged into the closed residential and commercial development, the entire local area is now part of the Leichlingen city center.

The name Breuhaus is probably derived from a brewery . In the original cadastre from 1829 the field name Im Brauhaus is noted at the location . The residential area was opened in the early 19th century in the church village of Leichlingen, which today forms the historic town center of Leichlingen.

In 1815/16 the place had 64 inhabitants, in 1830 78 people lived in the place categorized as a hamlet . In 1832 Breuhaus belonged to the mayor's office in Leichlingen . The place, categorized as a courtyard town according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had ten residential buildings and six agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 51 residents lived in the village, nine of them Catholic and 42 Protestant.
