Brückerfeld is a locality in the city of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis . Today, the location is no longer perceptible as an independent living space, but part of the core town of Leichlingen.

Location and description

Jumper box is located in the center Leichlinger west of the Wupperfeld in the field of bridge street corner Moltkestraße in the district bridge . The settlement core of the residential area has merged into the closed residential and commercial development, the entire local area is now part of the Leichlingen core town. The Gruiten – Cologne – Mülheim railway runs west of the town .

In the original cadastre from 1829, the living space is recorded unlabeled, but the field name Brückerfeld is noted for the adjacent meadows up to the Wupper . The Prussian first recording from 1844 recorded the place as a bump house . From the Prussian new admission in 1892, the place was regularly recorded as Brückerfeld on measuring table sheets until the middle of the 20th century . The place was in the 19th century on the Communications Weg between Reusrath and Leichlingen (today the streets Trompeter Straße - Reusrather Straße - Opladener Straße - Brückenstraße ).

Until the beginning of the 20th century Brückerfeld had an independent location. In the course of time the residential and commercial development densified and the place merged into the Leichlinger core town.
