Pohligshof is a court in the town of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis .

Location and description

Pohligshof located northeast of Leichlinger center on the Leichlinger plateau at the headwaters of Schmerbachs near the state road 359. Neighboring towns are Roderhof , Green Scheid , Bröden , Kempen , Hohlenweg , Dierath , Diepenbroich , Upper Schmitte , Bennert , Buntenbach , pasture , Walt Rath , Schmerbach , juniper , Bergerhof , Bertenrath and Neuland .

history

The Pohligshof was first mentioned in 1487 as Poelych . The place name could possibly come from Mndd. pôl (= pool , swamp ). The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows the farm under the name Poleg . In the 18th century, the place belonged to the parish of Leichlingen in the Bergisches Amt Miselohe . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and the Prussian first survey from 1844 listed the farm as Pohligshof .

In 1832 Pohligshof belonged to the mayor's office in Leichlingen . The place, which was categorized as arable property according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had a residential house and three agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 13 residents lived in the place, all of them Catholic faith.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province in 1885, two houses with 16 inhabitants are given. In 1895 the place had two houses with 15 inhabitants, in 1905 two houses and nine inhabitants.
