Holzerhof is a village in the town of Leichlingen (Rhineland) in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district that emerged from a court .

Location and description

Holzerhof is located east of the center of Leichlingen above the Weltersbach on the K6 district road. Today, the place forms a common area with the Ufer residential areas and the Unterbüscherhof to the west . Schüddig , which was a mill site , is in the immediate vicinity of the Weltersbach itself .

Other neighboring towns are Sieferhof , Krähwinkel , Neukrähwinkel , Wilhelmstal , Metzholz , Schneppenpohl , Krabbenhäuschen , Weltersbach , Heeg , Hinterberg , Paulinenhof , Claasholz and Oberbüscherhof .

history

The map Topographia Ducatus Montani from 1715 shows a farm under the name Holserhof . In the 18th century, the place belonged to the parish of Leichlingen in the Bergisches Amt Miselohe . The topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824 and the Prussian first survey from 1844 record the place as Holzerhof and Hölzerhof . Holzerhof was located in the Leichlingen area right on the border with the parish Witzhelden, which formed its own mayor's office and community from 1845 to 1974 .

In 1815/16 there were 30 people living in the village. In 1832 Holzerhof belonged to the mayor's office of Leichlingen under the name Holzerhoff . The place, categorized as arable property according to the statistics and topography of the Düsseldorf administrative district , had three residential buildings and nine agricultural buildings at that time. At that time, 28 residents lived in the place, two of them Catholic and 26 Protestant.

In the municipality lexicon for the Rhineland province in 1885, three houses with 24 inhabitants are given. In 1895 the place had three houses with 20 inhabitants, in 1905 four houses and 22 inhabitants.
