England national cricket team against Pakistan in the 2011/12 season

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The English national cricket team's series of games against Pakistan in the 2011/12 season took place in the United Arab Emirates from January 7 to February 27, 2012 . The international cricket tour was part of the 2011/12 international cricket season and included three test matches , four ODIs and three Twenty20s . Pakistan won the Test Series 3–0 while England won the ODI Series 4–0 and the Twenty20 Series 2–1.

prehistory

It was the third tour of the season for Pakistan after dominating Sri Lanka and losing significantly in Bangladesh . Immediately after this tour, Pakistan played the Asia Cup 2012 . England previously did a tour in India that contained only ODIs, all of which were lost, and a winning Twenty20. The two teams' last tour in England in 2010 was overshadowed by a match-fixing scandal. England won some of the series played there significantly.
