Fenioux is a western French community with 160 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine in the department of Charente-Maritime .
location
Fenioux is about ten kilometers (driving distance) southwest of Saint-Jean-d'Angély and about 21 kilometers north of Saintes in the old cultural landscape of the Saintonge . The city of Cognac is about 35 kilometers southeast.

economy
The small village and its surroundings are largely agricultural. The area around Fenioux is still part of the Fins Bois wine-growing region in the Cognac wine-growing region .
history
No information is published about the history of Fenioux. The church with its quite imposing Romanesque portal and the funeral lamp - one of the most impressive of its kind - suggest, however, that the place had a certain importance in medieval times.

- On the north side of the church is the simple village well, which has hardly been in use since the beginning of the 20th century, as all houses were connected to the municipal water supply at that time.
