Poursay-Garnaud is a French municipality with 315 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and is part of the canton Matha (until 2015: canton Saint-Jean-d'Angély ). The inhabitants are called Garnaudiens .

Poursay-Garnaud is located about 70 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the Saintonge . Poursay-Garnaud is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vervant in the north and northeast, Les Églises-d'Argenteuil in the east and northeast, Varaize in the south, Saint-Julien-de-l'Escap in the southwest and Courcelles in the west and northwest.
