Voissay is a French municipality with 156 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Jean-d'Angély and is part of the canton of Saint-Jean-d'Angély . The inhabitants are called Voissayens .
geography
Voissay is located about 55 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the Saintonge . Voissay is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Torxé in the north and north-west, La Vergne in the north-east, Ternant in the east, Bignay in the south and Les Nouillers in the west and south-west.
