Sainte-Même is a French municipality with 244 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and the canton of Chaniers (until 2015: canton of Saint-Hilaire-de-Villefranche ). The inhabitants are called Sainte-Mêmeux .

Sainte-Même is about 60 kilometers southeast of La Rochelle . Sainte-Même is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Fontenet in the north, Aumagne in the east, Authon-Ébéon in the south and south-east, Nantillé in the south and west and Asnières-la-Giraud in the west and north-west.
