Le Mung is a French municipality with 305 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Saint-Jean-d'Angély and the canton of Saint-Jean-d'Angély (until 2015: canton of Saint-Savinien ). The inhabitants are called Méléduniens .
geography
Le Mung is located about 52 kilometers southeast of La Rochelle on the Charente , which forms the northern and eastern municipal boundaries. Le Mung is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Savinien in the north and east, Crazannes in the south and south-east and Geay in the east and south-east.
The A837 autoroute runs through the municipality .
