Siecq is a French municipality with 215 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and is part of the canton Matha . The inhabitants are called Siecquois .

geography

Siecq is located about 75 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the Saintonge . Siecq is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Beauvais-sur-Matha in the north, Saint-Ouen-la-Thène in the northeast, Bresdon in the east and northeast, Neuvicq-le-Château in the southeast, Macqueville in the south, Ballans in the southwest, Louzignac in the west as well Massac in the northwest.
