Beauvais-sur-Matha is a French municipality with 635 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and is part of the canton Matha . The inhabitants are called Beauvaisiens .

Beauvais-sur-Matha is located about 75 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the Saintonge . Beauvais-sur-Matha is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bazauges in the north, Ranville-Breuillaud in the north-east, Bresdon in the east and south-east, Saint-Ouen-la-Thène in the south-east, Siecq in the south, Massac in the south-west, Gourvillette in the west and south-west as well Cressé to the west and northwest.
