Aujac is a French municipality with 369 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and the canton of Chaniers (until 2015: canton of Saint-Hilaire-de-Villefranche ). The inhabitants are called Aujacais .

geography

Aujac is about 65 kilometers southeast of La Rochelle . Aujac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Aumagne in the north, Blanzac-lès-Matha in the northeast, Courcerac in the east, Migron in the south and Authon-Ébéon in the west.
