The inhabitants are called Louzignacais .

Louzignac is located about 75 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the Saintonge . Louzignac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Haimps in the north and north-west, Siecq in the east, Ballans in the south, Brie-sous-Matha in the south and south-west and Sonnac in the west.
