Louzignac is a French municipality with 160 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and is part of the canton Matha . The inhabitants are called Louzignacais .
geography
Louzignac is located about 75 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the Saintonge . Louzignac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Haimps in the north and north-west, Siecq in the east, Ballans in the south, Brie-sous-Matha in the south and south-west and Sonnac in the west.
