Brizambourg is a French municipality with 905 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and the canton of Chaniers (until 2015: canton of Saint-Hilaire-de-Villefranche ). The inhabitants call themselves Brizambourgois .

geography

Brizambourg is about 64 kilometers southeast of La Rochelle . Brizambourg is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bercloux in the north, Migron and Villars-les-Bois in the east, Saint-Bris-des-Bois in the south, Saint-Césaire in the south and south-west and Écoyeux in the west.

The municipality's train station is on the Chartres – Bordeaux line
