Gibourne is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Cherbonnières in the north and northwest, Loiré-sur-Nie in the north and northeast, Le Gicq in the east, Les Touches-de-Périgny in the southeast, Bagnizeau in the south, La Brousse in the southwest and Saint-Martin-de -Juillers in the west.
