Seigné is a French commune with a population of 77 (as at 1st January 2017) in the Charente-Maritime in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine (before 2016: Poitou-Charentes ); it belongs to the arrondissement Saint-Jean-d'Angély and is part of the canton Matha (until 2015: canton Aulnay ). The inhabitants are called Seignéens .

geography

Seigné is located about 72 kilometers east-southeast of La Rochelle in the Saintonge . Seigné is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Néré in the north and west, Romazières in the northeast, Fontaine-Chalendray in the east, Cressé in the south and Le Gicq in the southwest.
