The inhabitants are called Argenteuillais .

Les Églises-d'Argenteuil is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Nuaillé-sur-Boutonne in the north, Aulnay in the northeast, Paillé in the east and northeast, Saint-Pierre-de-Juillers in the east and southeast, Varaize in the south, Poursay-Garnaud in the southwest , Vervant and Antezant-la-Chapelle in the west and Saint-Pardoult in the northwest.
